All Things NOTTINGHAM – 18th August

“Find a cruise that features Nottingham” was the request from Greg and Gary at 94.1fm this week……really???

Nottingham is one of the most historic and famous towns in England, but its hardly on the radar of the modern cruise ships!  Not sure we’ll see Royal Caribbean or Princess Cruises sailing up the River Trent any time soon – so we have to be a little more creative with this weeks Cruise Deal.  And it just so happens we have come up with a fantastic experience, with a Nottingham twist…

One of the fastest growing areas of Europe to cruise are the islands off the Croatian coastline.  Rivalling the Greek Islands for their variety and beauty these islands have become a dream destination for the avid cruiser, however many of these islands are too small for the regular cruise ship to dock or tender into.   Therefore, this is a private world exclusive to small ship cruising.

Picturesque, unspoiled islands such as Mljet, which Lonely Planet described as ”The Most Seductive Island in the Adriatic”, or Brac an island famous for the Brac Stone (used in the construction of the White House in Washington DC) but now also famous for its amazing Olive Oil, Wine and Fruit.  Historic walled towns of Dubrovnik and Split with their winding alleys and cobblestone street.  Celebrities are often spotting enjoying the restaurants and bars in Hvar Town, or you could explore Korčula Town and decide for yourself it this really was the birthplace of Marco Polo…

The Stunning Island of Mljet, and the Picturesque Walled City of Croatia

Top this off with crystal clear Adriatic waters, perfect undeveloped coves and beaches, wonderful Croatian cuisine and you have an amazing destination to experience.

So what has this got to do with Nottingham?  Here’s the link….we have a 7 day Croatian Island cruise on a perfect small ship, carrying just 34 passengers…..and its name is the ROBIN HOOD!

Built in 2017, the Robin Hood sails from Trogir (near Split Airport) every Sunday from June to October 2019.  During the seven days you will spend mornings on board the Robin Hood, enjoying breakfast and swimming in the clear waters (complimentary use of snorkels and kayaks).  After lunch on board, the Robin Hood arrives in your destination for the day, and will stay till late in the evening, giving you plenty of time to explore these wonderful ports.  Sightseeing experiences is also available by speaking to the on board Cruise Director.

During your cruise you will visit Split, Omiš, Makarska, Mljet, Dubrovnik, Korčula, Hvar and Stari Grad before arriving back into Trogir.  All cabins are complete with air conditioning, private en suite bathrooms, bottled water and complimentary WiFi.   These cruises start at an extremely low fare of just $1,452 per person for the seven nights

The Island of Korcula – Marco Polo’s Birthplace….maybe?

This is a wonderful opportunity to include this 7 night Croatian cruise as part of a longer Mediterranean holiday, and Travel Masters can of course help with all arrangements, so why not give us a call on 1800 672 988 for more information on the beautiful islands of Croatia and a cruise on the Robin Hood!
