All Things MANILA – 12th August

The Capital of the Philippines, its heart and soul, is Manila – and as always we have found a way of bringing you today’s National Cruise and Travel Show destination by combining it with our Cruise Deal of the Week!

On the 8th February you fly from Australia to the amazing city of Singapore and enjoy a 2 night hotel stay including breakfast.  This gives you plenty of time to explore one of the most modern and spectacular cities in the world, eat at the hundreds of restaurants or hawker centres, explore the multitude of retail outlets.

After your stay in Singapore you wave goodbye as you sail out of the city on board the stunning 5 star Celebrity Constellation for a wonderful 14 night Asia Cruise.

After a day at sea to discover the Celebrity Constellation you arrive in the port of Phu My, the gateway to the largest city in Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City.  Over a quarter of a century has passed since the Vietnam War ended in 1975 with the fall of Saigon. Today, the name of this bustling metropolis on the Mekong River is Ho Chi Minh City. Yet, the essence of the city, a major trading centre since the 18th century, remains unchanged.

Its then on to two full days in Hong Kong.  The Celebrity Constellation will remain docked in the heart of the city, giving you plenty of time to explore the downtown area, or why not venture out to Lantau Island or even the New Territories

Hong Kong

After another relaxing day at sea you arrive in today’s featured destination – Manila, Capital of Philippines.  Known as the Pearl of the Orient, Manila is the urban hub of the Philippines’ 7,000 islands. Explore the markets and backstreets of Quiapo and Chinatown where you can find goldsmiths, herbalists, tea houses and shops selling mooncakes, incense, paper money to burn for ancestors, trinkets and all kinds of local curios. The Intramuros walled Spanish fortress is the oldest part of the city. Jutting out into Manila Bay on a narrow peninsula, this was the site of the original Muslim settlement over which the Spanish built their isolated outpost. As a counterpoint, visit the lively centre of modern Manila—Makati—where you can shop, eat and drink to your heart’s content. You’ll get caught up in the unique vibe that comes from the many locals who are here to work, relax and play. End the day enjoying one of the legendary sunsets over Manila Bay.

Continue through the Philippines to the island of Borocay.  Little more than a speck off the northwestern tip of Panay, Boracay is the trophy beach of the Philippines. It offers an intoxicating mix of sun, sand and fun with hotels, restaurants and shops are scattered all along the beach. If you like, you can visit the popular White Beach or make your way east to Bulabog Beach, which, because it’s wilder and windier, is a favorite windsurfing spot. Yet another option: relax on the serene and tranquil Puka Beach to the north.

Your final port of call is Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia.  Kota Kinabalu, also called K.K., is a natural beauty resplendent with amazing parks, prime shopping areas, and architectural marvels. A tropical rainforest on the outskirts complements its leisurely beaches and shores, making this a popular destination in Malaysia.

Your cruise comes to an end back in Singapore, but not before you spend an overnight stay on the Celebrity Constellation.  Your flight back to Australia follows to complete your cruise holiday.

16 nights in total, and a fantastic package price is on offer for this holiday.  Ocean View Cabins from just $3,999 per person.

But there is more…..lets throw in your choice of either a “Classic Beverage Package”, “Unlimited Internet” or “$150USD per person On Board Credit”!!
