Jorge Villamarin - Expedition Operations Manager APAC
Jorge Villamarin is a distinguished leader in the world of expedition cruising. Jorge's passion for travel and cultural discovery was evident from a young age and it was this passion which ultimately led him to change careers from engineering to expedition guiding. His pivotal solo journey through South America ignited his adventurous spirit and prompted him to join PONANT in 2012. Jorge has since become an integral part of PONANT’s expedition team, delivering remarkable experiences to guests in some of the planet’s most remote and beautiful locations as a Naturalist and Expedition Leader. His guiding expertise spans from the icy realms of the polar regions, to the lush landscapes of the tropics, including exhilarating activities like scuba diving and hiking the Andes. His deep knowledge of science, the great outdoors, culture and history enriches each voyage, making each trip truly unforgettable.
